Employees
- Employability Programs for employees who are joining the work force for the first time which allow them to acquire the proper discipline, conduct and skills of the work environment. We use concrete and active programs to continually develop and perfect these attributes in our employees.
- Management Attributes equal rights and opportunities to all workers. Designs and rolls out different plans whose objective is to improve the well being and skills of our work force.
- Motivation and Integration Programs Incentive and recognition plans that are geared to optimize and reward the performance of the workers. We also recognize the positive actions of our employees both at and away from work. We use these plans to actively and positively maintain the professional and social conscience of our employees and to keep them loyal to the company and to devoting all their skills to customer service.
- Benefits We have ample holistically focused benefits. Culture, sports, health, and recreation are included within our benefits package. Time and space are set aside for rest, fun, and mental stimulation, which allow for a healthy balance between work and home. We have agreements with insurance, health, and financial entities for the well being of the employee and his or her family. The employee is able to obtain life and health insurance policies as well as loans at discounted rates which otherwise would not be available to them.
- Training and Continuing Education Programs Internal training as well as training through accredited educational institutions is provided. We also provide first aid, foreign language, speaking, strategy, management, leadership, effective communication, and conceptual and analytical thinking classes. We provide internship programs which are linked with the most prestigious universities to provide growth and development opportunities for young people. We recognize that celebrating holidays (national, artistic, and religious among others) generates cultural awareness which is integral for the formation of open minded workers and betters their performance making them more active and highly unique individuals.
- Personal Presentation and Work Safety Programs We believe in the importance of personal presentation and that safety in the work area is the responsibility of all. For that reason all employees must take on an attitude of accident prevention which will help maintain safe working conditions with a special emphasis on the psycho-physical safety of each individual.
- Gender Equality This is a goal which has been established by the UN to which Allus adheres to rigidly through policies which speak to equal opportunities for women. 80% of the Allus Global BPO Center workforce is women (35% of whom are mothers) and 50% of Management positions are occupied by women who are paid exactly what their male counterparts are paid. We also seek to promote gender equality through celebrating International Woman’s Day and Mother’s day for example.
Providers
We seek to promote RSE by giving preference to those regional providers who are RSE certified and who respect human and labor rights.
Ethics
Our policy is to integrate the values of the company in the decision making process of each and every one of our workers.
Profile of Allus in Argentina and Colombia
In Argentina:
Workforce
- Employment. We are among the top 5 companies in the country in terms of quality and quantity of workforce. We developed – backed by the government – the program ‘Qualifying Practices’, which generates jobs in the most underprivileged sectors of society. It is focused on the future generation of this country, with the majority of workers which are hired being young people around 18 years old who have not finished high school yet and who need the opportunity of first time employment to gain work and work skills.
- Motivation and Integration Programs Scholarships are offered in conjunction with different universities; and holidays like Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Children’s Day and Birth Days, are celebrated. We also have a referral program geared at bettering the bonds of friendship through referring their friends to work at Allus. We also have Parent’s Day where the parents are encouraged to come to the workplace to get to know better the company and the work their children do. Every 6 months we conduct a work satisfaction survey which allows us to know the satisfaction index and implement corrective actions, if any, to enhance the satisfaction of the workers in the work place as near to 100% as possible.
- Personal Presentation and Safety Every worker is given work safety and hygiene manuals and pamphlets and is informed of the appropriate evacuation plan through safety placards. These, along with programs for proper voice utilization, comprise the main components of the Personal Presentation and Safety programs.
Community
Our policy recognizes that the individual worker is a key component of our actions. The last four Solidarity Crusades which focused on different ONG and rural communities were led by management and completed by a team of volunteers who channeled the energy of the workers instilling in them attitudes of commitment and responsibility towards the more underprivileged sectors of the community.
Environment
Paper collection and recycling program with a destination of Caritas, Argentina: 3.600 kg of paper collected in two years which equals to 1,200 breakfasts and 2,400 school kits. This project is combined with environmental protection campaigns and conscientious use of energy in all the call centers of the region (lights, air-conditioning, copiers, and other equipment turned off when not in use).
In Colombia:
Workforce
- Employment We generate 20% of Contact Center job market throughout the country.
- Personal Presentation and Safety We operate continuous wellness programs such as appropriate use of the voice, health days, and personal breaks. These programs include preventative care programs through APRA, which specializes in the above areas.
- Growth and Development We seek to offer growth and development opportunities within the organization. We look internally first, interviewing those employees who fulfill the requirements of the posted positions, before looking outside of the organization.
Community
We are in constant contact with the community and support foundations such as "Dividendo por Colombia" which helps fund elementary education for children of communities displaced by violence. During the year we conduct campaigns geared to helping those communities negatively affected by winter and other natural disasters. Every year at Christmas, we also conduct a gift giving campaign for children from less fortunate communities, thus helping to bring happiness to children who would have very little to be happy for at Christmas time.
